This past week has been pretty exhausting. Actually, this past year has been pretty exhausting. Work. School. Outside projects. Somewhat of a personal life. It’s been interesting attempting to juggle the four. This past week gave me a nice balance of everything. I got to catch up with someone who I haven’t seen in much too long. It’s always good to have that opportunity. Realizations of what I’ll tend to miss next year about work and the people who I work with hit me a bit this week. (Even with the stress that comes from the job, it’s a unique and amazing experience.). A new but very close friend of mine graduated from college and is on his way to making this world a much better place.
Walking everything made me realize that next year, it’s my turn to be on the stage with that cap and gown and finishing what I felt as though (only a few years ago) was so very far away into the future. Time just always has that interesting quality of being too fast and feeling sometimes too slow simultaneously.
As I stress out the next few weeks wrapping up this quarter and everything else that comes with it, I’ll try and remember that sometimes we all just need to take a breath and a moment to realize all the good things we have in our lives.
This past Friday night (which was technically yesterday as of now) I did something that most people don’t do on Friday nights, pass out of exhaustion and waking up fully awake at 1:30 in the morning. Oh to be young…
