Look… ‘09… this past year has been so many things; some wonderful, others tragic, but full of moments that will be cherished by, hopefully by both of us, forever.
I remember back in January when we experienced the production of Jarell Perry’s first music video. The tumultuous weather we faced, however that was all no match for facing the Chinese Mandarin language. Learned all those characters only coming to forget about 95% of them It’s okay though. We got through it all together. It was great.
I can’t even believe all the new faces that we’ve seen, people we’ve met, friendships born and re-established. The karaoke-ing back in May was unforgettable, tackling “My Heart Will Go On” with the boys to the point where I think Celine herself would be proud.
This summer we entered the gates of the legendary Warner Bros!! We got a glimpse of where the future could possibly lead. It was unbelievable. My first summer in LA was with you, 2009; Forming new friendships that have seemed as though they could have been there for years, first Cali car, ridiculous music video shoot, movie premieres, celebrities, late night trips to Gushi, and just plain growing up.
These past few months have been ridiculous. I started my final year of college, shot my last CMF film that has gone so much further than we originally hoped, road-tripped to SF, had my heart open to see potential and then cracked, and my first apartment! There were also some moments that I won’t mention in detail but you know…
The point is, you see, 2009… all of that was with you. I’m totally thankful to have been able to experience this part of my life with you, but it’s come to that point where we both know this has got to end. I wish you could’ve last a little longer cause I’m not sure if I’m ready for 2010 to begin. Life is… a crazy thing. And as unexpected as it is, this is always one thing we knew would come.
With all of that, I’ll always keep you in my heart. Thank you for everything, 2009. I wish nothing but the best for you. I hope that we can still be friends, but whenever you’re ready. No rush.
