Ok, well technically this isn’t my “first” blog. HOWEVER, this is my first one on a site such as this. This will soon be a part of the fully re-designed www.KellyLi.com, which is coming soon (seriously, I know that’s what it’s said on the site for a while now, but I’m serious). My friend, Erik Carlson, is a great graphic artist who is on that task.
It’s been a bit of a hectic week, heading into the middle of midterms. As I type, I’m working simultaneously on a paper, a feature script, and the finishing touches to a music video concept.
I’m set to direct Jarell Perry’s first music video to his sick song, “Change Your Mind.” You can check out Jarell’s stuff at (www.JarellPerry.com). This project will be part of the only episode of this quarter’s resTV show, “Audio Feed Remix.”
I had a blast last quarter directing Brian Fang’s video for “Birthday Wish.” This time, the concept’s going to be insane. I’m going to throw every filmmaking skill I have at this video. We’re set to start production this upcoming Thursday so on a bit of a time crunch. But, it’s all a part of the process that I will update you with as we progress with the shoot. I’m amped.
