Have you ever been in one of those times in your life where things are so routine yet time is just flying by? That’s what I’ve been feeling as of late. These past few days I finally got a chance to simply… relax.
I was planning on taking this time (free from academics, from work, etc.) to write. However, when time finally came, I did nothing but live. I didn’t write about the lives of my characters. I didn’t think about plots and subplots. I experienced life as a regular human being. It was amazing. It reminded me of life when I was younger, and as “crazy” as things were, things were so much more simpler.
As I returned back from this period of relaxation, it dawned on me (not only how much is still on my ‘To Do…’ list) but also how quickly time passes. Before I know it, I won’t be able to just be a college student. I realized that sometimes I have to take a breath, forget about how to show life through a lens, and just live life.
